Day 10 ~

Is it time to re-invent your self with discipline and self-control?
Is it time for you to harvest your inner power and greatness and show it to the world?

1 Corinthians 9:27 ~ But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

Some may not think so or judge my motives but I really, really love people. I have a co-dependent personality meaning, much of my happiness comes from making others happy. I have improved much over the years. I have learned to balance my need to please others by also pleasing myself and finding happiness within myself. I have learned that you have to make yourself happy first because eventually, your attempts to make others happy will backfire and potentially leave you bitter and broke. I like to live my life owing no one anything but love. That in itself is a discipline.

With that said, that part of me that wants to make people happy sees so many of my brothers and sisters so very unhappy. Most of my circle of friends and acquaintances are of the household of faith. They are great people but they can't see it. For many, not all, but many, their relationships don't really make them happy, they go to church out of habit, they serve and deplete all of their resources for the good of others who oftentimes do not even appreciate it. Many of my friends are faithful, put a smile on their face, but deeply are unsatisfied and have huge voids. Because they are a believer, some haven't turned to drugs, porn, or alcohol to fill those voids but they have turned to food. (Never judge another no matter what they are caught up in because it can also be you.) There are days that the only thing they really enjoyed was the minutes of mouth pleasure they enjoyed while consuming unhealthy foods. They often gorge on these foods until they feel even worse afterward.

If you are one of those who have lost your way, maybe its time to think of reinventing yourself? I will help you. If I am unqualified to help you, I will find someone who is qualified to help you.

Please hear me. If you want your faith in Jesus Christ to make a difference in this world, your faith in Jesus Christ must first make a difference in YOUR OWN LIFE. When your body and mind are unhealthy, others consider you disqualified to help them no matter how loud you preach your faith. Consider that the United States is the most obese country on the planet. Obesity is the #1 cause of all premature death in our country. Lastly, consider that people of faith are the most obese segment of our country. This ought not to be so friends.

Discipline in one area of your life means freedom in other areas of your life.

Discipline your mind and you will live with courage instead of fear.

Discipline your tongue and you won't need to apologize for everything you say (I'm down to having to apologize for about 10% of what I say, lol, so getting better.). Say what you mean and mean what you say....it takes discipline.

Discipline your body with exercise and you will live a longer, healthier life with self-confidence.

Discipline yourself in regards to your eating behaviors and you will improve your life, your waistline, your health, your longevity, your relationships, and much more. Nothing outside the peace of salvation will improve your life like living a disciplined eating lifestyle.
