Please keep my grandpa, Gene, in your prayers. He had a mild stroke last week and finally got to come out of ICU Friday. They were getting ready to discharge him because he was doing so much better but in a lot of pin, so my grandmother requested an X-ray. He actually had fractured his hip and is going to undergo surgery tomorrow for a partial replacement. I'm worried about the additional risks because of this recent stroke. Please keep him and the doctors and nurses providing him care in your prayers.

Please say a prayer this Easter weekend for my friend and pastors mom Brenda Jones. A few weeks ago, one Sunday after church while taking a nap, she had a stroke. This woman is such a saint and has ministered to all those she's come in contact with in the hospital, rehab and now at the Brian House in Canton. It has been her prayer since this happened, to be able to come to Easter service at the new location for The Pointe Church (which we as a congregation prayed over for months and months) and to go to lunch at her home with her family. This would be the first outing for her since her stroke. She is getting stronger every day but still has little use of her left side. You can only imagine the emotions both hurt and joy of going though the doors of your home in a wheel chair for the first time. Please lift Brenda, husband William and the entire Jones family up to Almighty God for His immeasurable strength and blessings on such good and faithful folks. He is Risen! Praise Jesus!

Brenda Jones was rolled into service yesterday at The Pointe Church to everyone standing, clapping and cheering for her. She cried and cried. It was wonderful to see her and what a blessing. She was excited to get to go home for lunch and take a nap in her sleep number bed. Apparently that was one of the things she asked for repeatedly right after the stroke when she wasn't so awake. Thank you for praying for my friend and if you think of her, continue to lift her up as she continues to recover and trust in God's perfect will. Praise Him!!!

I am having a difficult time with having the will power and sticking with the program. I do well like the first 3 days and then a get off track with craving my comfort foods. For some reason I do not have a problem with walking and working out at the gym. But it maybe because I have someone waiting on me to work out with and I have that accountability that I need to be there. Please pray for me that I will have the will power to stick with this life change.
You can do all things through Christ who is strengthening you. The will power needed to stick with the program comes not from relying upon our own flesh but upon trusting in the Spirit. Ask Him to help you and receive the strength He is waiting to provide. Jesus wants you to succeed more than you do. Why? He wants you to recognize that true comfort comes from Him. The comfort provided by physical food is temporary. The comfort found in being nourished by the Spirit is eternal and life changing. If you use facebook, consider posting your daily meals on line. The online community will surround you with the love and support you need. Also, call the center to book a mentoring appointment when needed.

Please pray for my husband as he starts his journey to lose weight today. He did medifast about 2 years ago, lost 100 pounds, and gained it all back due to the lack of sustainability that program provides. Ever since, he's had a few "try and fail" experiences and had pretty well given up. He's 200+ pounds over weight, and I can tell that it's starting to affect his health and our relationship. I'm 100% committed to helping him learn that this doesn't have to be miserable and that he can succeed.
May God bless your husband with the wisdom to see that this program truly works when you work it! The variety, support, and accountability available with our program is truly "out of this world."

On April 6th I go to get the results of Memory tests from Dr. Please pray that I accept what God has allowed in the results and that God gives wisdom to the Dr. for treatment. JESUS IS LORD AND HE DIED FOR MY SINS AND FOR MY SALVATION. Amen. God Bless You All for your prayers.

Please pray for my older brother. We have been close since we were young and he has recently gone down the wrong path. Today, I found a post from him that gave me some hope. "There is no greater feeling then thinking you're doing ok and then you realize God has been sending signs to remind you who you really are until you open your eyes and see them. I pray I'm as persistent and as patient as God is when he's trying to get through to me and I don't see it right away." Praise God for this breakthrough.

Please continue to pray for my daughter she had her biopsy on her cervics done yesterday and said it was cancer. They are going to send it off to see what grade it is. They said if it was low enough the body may take care of it itself but if it was too high they would cut it out. She has four children from the range of 12 down. She is also a single parent. Please pray for her. I know our God is able.

Update: out of surgery- they are trying to find him a place for rehabilitation. He's been sitting up and walking since the surgery. Thank you all for the prayers!
