I have so much to be thankful for, however, in my younger days, I did "stupid" with a bunch of $0's on the end and have a mountain of student loan debt that I'm trying to crawl out from under. My husband and I have been on the Dave Ramsey plan since February of 2009 (We're even class facilitators at our church now). We've been slowly but surely digging our way out of debt, and have had some set backs along the way - him with unemployment and job loss, or underemployed, and then some stupid decisions where we didn't use the money we did have as wisely as we COULD have. We're trying to be good stewards of all God has given us, and we desperately want to honor the commitments we made - our debt must be paid. We need courage to stay the course - to continue to learn whatever it is God is teaching us, to make wise decisions, and to be patient and faithful, and continue to work our way out of this mess we're in.
