It is always best to choose meats that are organic, free roaming, grass fed, hormone free, etc when eating clean for Phase 4

The New York Strip Steak is the larger cut from the Porterhouse.  It is a very tender and flavorful piece.  With the bone left in is traditionally known as the Kansas City Strip.  The strip works well with dry methods of cooking like grilling, roasting, or sauteeing (or searing).  There are many steak seasonings on the market today, but I recommend you make your own, experiment with different flavors.  You know what you like.

Notice the color code and numerical value assigned, but don't panic.  Let me explain.  If you eat the correct portion of this steak it is a little higher on our scale which means it has the propensity to slow your fat loss results if you are in a weight loss phase.  Proceed with caution by following the bullet-proof shield.  Add a negative number to this great tasting cut of steak and you will be fine even in a fat loss phase.  Again, make sure your portion is correct.  However, if you add a food item that is +1 or better on the scale to this steak you could be asking for an extreme slow down with your results.   The key here is Timing, Portions, and Combinations.  

Though steak is allowable within our system and within a weight loss phase you must control those portions if you want to be successful.
