Description

Scallops are a wonderful type of shellfish that can be easily enjoyed when cooked properly. Scallops provide a good source of protein in addition to being rich in vitamins and minerals. The goal is to ensure that they are indeed fresh and have not spoiled. The way to know if the scallops are bad is if they smell bad, and do not smell like the sea. Scallops do not need a lot of time to cook; if they cook too long they risk the chance of becoming rubbery.  Simply sautee with salt and pepper or sprinkle some cajun seasoning on them for a little spice.  Just a couple minutes on each side will do.
