Description

I used our 4-ingredient biscuit recipe as my base. I googled 4-ingredient biscuit online and found some other recommendations so I decided to change things up but still follow our Shibboleth rules. It was suggested to not use "diet soda" in the recipe because the biscuits wouldn't taste the same. Since we need to use diet soda to approve these, I thought the sweetness may be what was missing so I added the Splenda packets. This is optional. I think the yeast is what helps the biscuits to rise a little. The recipe online also called for sour cream instead of the greek plain yogurt. I figure this is also where the flavor comes from so I opted for low fat sour cream. I think it also helps to make them "fluffier". You could use any yeast. I just sprinkled some in, probably about 1 tbsp worth but no more than that. This also helps them rise a bit. Don't forget to get creative with seasonings! You can change up the way these taste adding a little herb seasoning or salt and garlic, italian seasoning, or even cinnamon to get a sweet biscuit.
